Welcome to the official website of the American Civil Liberties Union, Purdue University Chapter!

The Purdue ACLU exists to give support to and raise awareness of students' civil liberties here on campus and in the nation as a whole. Our goal is to make the Purdue Campus a place where students' rights are protected and not violated. The guide for our mission is the Bill of Rights and the rest of the United States Constitution. We strive to be a guiding force that will foster open discussion and activism that will preserve the freedoms that are so important to everyone. People from all backgrounds are encouraged to join us in the fight for freedom. We are a non-profit organization that is affiliated with the national American Civil Liberties Union, which was founded in 1920.

We encourage anyone interested in learning more about the ACLU to attend our meetings! Please feel free to browse the website to find out more information about the Purdue ACLU, what we're doing on campus, and important issues and attacks on our civil liberties. You can navigate the site using the buttons on the left side of each page.

If you have any questions or comments, want more information, and/or would like to join the Purdue ACLU, please don't hesitate to contact our president, Adil Umar Ghafoor, at adilumar @ purdue.edu, and he will do his best to respond as quickly as possible.
